Its in decent condition and seems to work fine.
There are 11 PLD’s on this set.
7 are PAL16L8’s
2 are PLS153’s
and 2 are PAL16R4’s

Ive dumped then all apart from the 2 registered ones but haven’t yet got round to testing any of them.

More Atomiswave to NAOMI conversions

Today I got a chance to test out the two new conversions from Darksoft.
First is Knights of Valor: The Seven Spirits.
Never heard of this game before.
It plays really well and I really enjoyed it. Once again I couldn’t see any issues with the conversion.

Second up is Guilty Gear X 1.5
I already own this game a couple of time over for the NAOMI so not too excited about this release but that’s not really the point of this project.
I had a little issue to start with as I must of netbooted the game half way through something else going on. The game only booted to the test screen and couldn’t start the game. I tried netbooting again after that and the game worked perfectly.

I’m really liking this project, its not only bringing games to my attention that I never knew existed but its also allowing me to play them.
Please, if you like these conversion them please donate a little something to Darksoft if you can. If you aren’t able to give anything then just leave a comment on his site to let him know its appreciated.

Today I got my modified CPS3 security cart.
I ended up getting the custom SH2 processor swapped for a normal SH2 and im pleased to say it works perfectly.
Not really too much to say about this as its all been extensively covered so ill just post a few pics.

It was about half way through flashing when I remembered the supplied CD wouldn’t actually have 2nd Impact on it. Luckily it flashed 3rd Strike instead.

Thanks to Alpha1 from the UKVAC forum for arranging postage and of course thanks to Mitsurugi-W and Darksoft for the soldering work and modified BIOS.

Midway T-Unit sound board PAL dump

PAL Updates  Comments Off on Midway T-Unit sound board PAL dump

channelmaniac contacted me a couple of weeks ago looking for a dump of the PAL16L8 chip from a Mortal Kombat sound PCB.
I didnt have it so asked about and luckily Asure had one on his workbench in the Netherlands which he was allowed to send to me for dumping.
The label for Mortal Kombat is A-5346-40025-9

Asure also sent me. among others, the PAL chip from an NBA Jam sound board. This is labelled A-16422. Turns out this chip is identical in behaviour to the Mortal Kombat one. For this reason ive labelled the dump as being for “Midway T-Unit sound board”

channelmaniac has confirmed this dump is working.

Thanks to Asure for providing this.
Seriously good effort here on behalf of everyone involved. Good to see everyone helping each other.
