Been doing a few bits with muddymusic’s Jumping PCB.
I wanted to see how the C-Chip substitute ROM was wired into the circuit so ive made a small schematic and reversed the address decoder PAL.

The A, B and C outputs from the PAL feed into a 74LS138. In order to select the C-Chip substitute A and B must be HIGH and C must be LOW. From the equations (or just looking at the MAME source code) we can work out that the C-Chip ROM lies at address 0x80000.

So, not a great deal of info but its pretty interesting all the same.

Its a little known fact that I’m a big Metal Slug fan. Its little known because ive only recently got into playing it on a friends Neo Geo CD system.
It came as a great surprise when Darksoft announced that Metal Slug 6 has been converted to the NAOMI as I had never played it before and had also seen nothing of it.
Im happy to say it works perfectly and have had a fun morning shooting aliens.

Thanks to Darksoft for continuing with this project and for once again introducing me to more hidden gems from a system I’m likely never to own again.

PLD Archive update

Just a quick note.
The PLD Archive has now been split into two, A-M & N-Z.
This needed to be done as the table was becoming slow and unresponsive for us when we are updating it and we were fearful of a database crash.
Nothing else has changed and all the entries should still be present but you will need to select the table you want to see from the page.

Runik is back and now he can decrypt FD1089 games.
The first two have been added (both Aurail sets).

As usual if anyone can test these files please let us know.
Any requests also please let us know.

Big thanks to Runik for making all of these. He has put a lot of work into making these for other people.
