Some time ago ‘Layer’ asked me about a PAL dump from a Twin Eagle II PCB  since his board was missing the chip and could not boot.Today I’ve dumped this PAL from a dead board hoping he can test the dump (on a GAL16V8 targerting device) and fix his board.

********UPDATE********

‘Layer’ successfully tested the PAL dump and at same time revived his board. Thanks to him for the feedback.

Today I dumped and successfully tested the PAL marked ‘DM620’ @2A from a USA version of Ghouls’n Ghosts (CPS1 hardware) .Until now we had only the MAME dump which anyway matches this new one.The other PAL present on PCB is marked ‘LWIO’ and it’s already dumped since it can be found also on Final Fight board.

Yesterday I dumped the four PALs from a Ken-Go PCB (an undumped revision on Irem M84 hardware, it will be included in the next MAME release). They differ to the ones already on database except for the one @IC5 which is the same.Dumps have been successfully tested on GAL16V8 targeting devices.

Amstrad 6128 PAL update

A while back it was identified that the replacement GAL I made for the Amstrad 6128 didn’t play nice with some/all memory expansions.
As I wasn’t able to test any expansions it was always a bit of a concern.
Anyway Gerald over on the CPCwiki forum has revised the equations and has fixed the issue. It was being caused by some improper use of the RAMDIS signal.

Thanks to Gerald for fixing this.
