Today I could test the two PAL dumps we had on database from a Megablast PCB.They were submitted from an unknow source.I added proper chip labels and PCB location too.Actually the PCB has six PLDs but four of them are shared with Liquid Kids which have been already dumped previously by me.
Super Space Invaders ’91 PAL dumps added
I dumped the two PALs from a Taito Super Space Invaders ’91 PCB (single layer version). Both dumps are tested and working in a GAL16V8 targeting device.
Capcom CPS1 PAL update
In the past days Smitdogg posted on DU mailing list dumps from a bootleg of SF2CE where most of the program was splitted into the smaller size roms with the use of a custom PAL16V8H @11D to copyprotect it.He provided also the binary dump of this PAL so I took care to reverse it into a GAL16V8 device. The .JED was successfully tested on board by Smitdogg himself. Thanks to him for this contribution.
Konami ’88 PAL dumps added
Today I dumped the PLDs from an original Konami ’88 PCB.Original devices were two unsecured PAL16L8 so I could read them with a standard programmer and then convert into GAL16V8 with PALTOGAL utility.Board was partially working but enough to test the dumps back and declare them as working.Anyway, a test on a 100% PCB would be appreciated from anyone who owns this board.
Irem and Konami PAL dumps update
In the past days the user ‘PJW’ sent in a couple of PAL dumps from an original IREM Ninjia Baseball Bat Man PCB.These PALs seems to be specific to this game and are located on the ROM board.Original devices were two PAL16L8 whose dumps have been converted by him into GAL16V8 with PALTOGAL utility and successfully tested on PCB.Thanks to him.
Yesterday I dumped the PALs from an original Konami Aliens PCB.The devices, two PAL16L8, were unsecured so I could read them in a programmer and then convert into GAL16V8.Both dumps have been successfully tested.
